Positions are available at GPS in any of our 11 States;

Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, Rhode Island, Vermont


Minimum requirements include 2 year’s experience and a minimum of one of the following coaching licenses;
Our expectation is that all coaches will have a US Soccer Federation Grade C License or European Union Football Association Grade C License or equivalent plus 2 years of experience.

We will take applications and consider coaches with the English Football Association Youth Award or the Football Association of Ireland Kick Start Level 1 License or equivalent plus 2 years of experience.
Coaches looking to go straight into coaching our Premier teams will be expected to have additional licensing and experience in coaching and managing teams.

Opportunities to work with GPS:
Below are brief descriptions of the various employment opportunities available within GPS.  All positions require some level of administrative responsibility.  The majority of staff who succeed at GPS are able to contribute not just in one of the coaching positions below but also in one of the sports management / administrative positions.  All staff are expected to be able to fulfill a role in player identification and recruiting.

Coaching positions include the following;

GPS Premier / Junior Premier Coach
Manage, coach and oversee teams of various age groups, U9-U18, to help them reach their short and long term developmental goals within the GPS system.   Success is measured in player development, team success, team management and player ID/Recruiting.

GPS Grassroots Coach (EDP / GPS Juniors / Community Partner)
Responsible for the development and introduction to soccer for players aged U3-U8. This is a vital area of the GPS Player Development Pyramid as we bring players through these programs into the Junior Premier teams.

GPS Director of Coaching (DOC) – Partner Club
Implementation of a holistic training program within one of our town partner communities. Working with volunteer board members, volunteer coaches and grassroots players from pre K – grade 8.  Also involves managing GPS PDO’s and staff assigned to this community.

GPS Program Development Officer (PDO) – Partner Club
Another position tied to our town partners that involves working with volunteer coaches and grassroots players from pre K – grade 8.   This position is generally under the guidance of the town partner board and/or the GPS DOC

GPS Goalkeeper Coach
GPS Goalkeeper coaches are responsible for teaching both GPS and Town Partner goalkeepers the technical competencies, skills and responsibilities of the position. GK staff are also responsible for GK camps, clinics and other GK related initiatives.

Sports Management / Admin Positions include the following;

Assistant or support staff to a GPS Department
Administrative support role to include a wide variety of tasks requiring strong admin skills and ideally experience in one of the Departments below answering to a Head of Department (HOD).

 More details on some departments below;

Marketing
Supporting all GPS marketing activities including the club’s online and street marketing presence. Involved in strategic planning and analysis in line with new and innovative marketing initiatives.

Program Development / Recruiting
Supporting the Regional DOC in all aspects of program development, grassroots programming, player recruitment and town/club partner sales.

Corporate Sales
Supporting the Corporate Sales Director in creating and developing relationships with new and existing corporate sponsors of the club.

Graphic Design
Assisting the graphic design, website and marketing departments by creatively producing marketing materials including logos, flyers, posters, maps, presentations, t-shirts and other related literature.  Additionally graphic design assistants will be expected to help create and edit franchise websites including visual elements

Web Site
Support the upkeep and improvement of the various GPS web sites.

Finance
There are two separate financial roles available. One (Finace Liaison) is to oversee and manage all individual player accounts and respective team accounts. In this regard, the Finance Liaison works closely with the Premier and Camp Departments to provide financial reports and other support. There are also positions available within the main finance department where responsibilities would include financial recording and reporting, and work with both accounts receivable and accounts payable.

Media and Communications
Writing press releases and supporting all club public relations activities.

Operations
This can include areas such as managing apparel, facilities and equipment. Act as a support network to DOC’s and franchises for managing apparel distribution and ordering.

Sports Performance
Responsible for the education of GPS coaches, players, parents and key affiliates in all areas of sports performance. Includes player performance analysis, fitness testing, and nutrition advice and injury prevention education.

Tournaments
Assist with the management each GPS event/tournament, which includes sales, marketing, operations, facility, equipment and financial management. Also involves management of organizing athletic trainers, medals/trophies, college profile booklets and all on day logistics for the event.

Most positions at GPS involve both a coaching and sports management role.  In the application process you should identify which coaching role and which admin role you are best suited to. Positions are available that are coaching only with a lower level of admin work.  Please note if you are interested in just a coaching only role, you will still be expected to be active in player identification/recruiting and in supporting the execution of general club marketing and operational activities such as flier distribution, and tournament operations.

Internship Program
GPS offer a number of internship programs for both US and International students including “year out” opportunities and “in semester” and summer internships.
At GPS, the Intern will be placed in one of 11 Departments specific to their area of study/educational need. There is also the opportunity to work within multiple departments during your time with us.
GPS internship programs run for varying periods of time based on the institution and students specific requirements.  The internship is unpaid, although opportunity to earn supplemental income through coaching within our camp/clinic program is a possibility. Interns who impress in their time spent with GPS will have the opportunity to return upon graduation for a permanent position.

Are you Qualified?

-     FA/FAI/IFA/SFA/FAW/USSF/NSCAA coaching license (or equivalent)
-          Preferably 2 years of on field coaching experience
-          Full, clean driving license and clean Police Background check
